Located on the north coast of Cornwall just a short drive from the town of Padstow is Trevone Bay. Just one of many fantastic beaches along this part of the north Cornwall coast and like the others is very popular during the height of the summer. By walking the coastal path one is treated to some spectacular views and a walk to the west will take you to the larger beach at Harlyn Bay and onwards to the secluded and delightful Mother Iveys Bay. In 2007 Trevone Bay was used as the setting for the Renault Clio Ripcurl advert where two surfers are contemplating going for a surf.

Dusk at Trevone Bay

About this photograph
I had decided to go to Trevone Bay on the north coast of Cornwall with the intention of getting some shots of the sunset but unfortunately this was one of those all too often occasions when the sunset didn't actually turn out as I had hoped. However I chose to take some shots using the slow exposure technique instead, which gives the misty blurred effect to the sea. I took this photograph on Sunday 9th January 2011 at 16:51 with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

This photograph was taken at 17:00 on Sunday 9th January 2011 and I used a slow shutter speed with an exposure time of 46 seconds which gives a misty look to the sea as it washes up onto the beach and a slightly blurred motion effect to the passing clouds overhead.
