Situated on the outskirts of the popular tourist town of Newquay is Porth Beach. During the summer months Porth Beach is very popular with tourists rather than locals, who tend to opt for some of the other beaches further away from Newquay such as Watergate bay and Crantock Bay. Porth Beach at high tide is only a small beach but as the tide drops it reveals a large cove of golden sands surrounded by small cliffs.
