The picturesque town and working fishing port of Looe lies on the south coast of Cornwall. Looe is in fact two towns, East Looe and West Looe, which are connected by a bridge across the River Looe. The towns are situated around a small harbour and along the steep sided valley through which the River Looe flows. At the entrance to the harbour is a small sandy beach which is hugely popular during the summer months and is seperated from the River Looe by Banjo Pier.
