St.Mawes
Situated opposite Falmouth on the Roseland Peninsula on the south coast of Cornwall, St.Mawes is a small town that was once a bustling fishing port, but like many coastal towns in Cornwall the main industry for St.Mawes now is tourism.

Crantock Bay
A must visit place in Cornwall is Crantock Bay on the north coast of Cornwall, a short drive from Newquay. The beach becomes a vast stretch of golden sand at low tide and is backed up by the towering sand dunes which give for some great views over the bay.

St.Michael's Mount
Situated on the south coast of Cornwall in Mount's Bay and roughly four hundred yards from Marizion, St.Michael's Mount is united with the town of Marazion via a man-made causeway that joins the island to the mainland which it also becomes possible to walk across at low tide.

Mother Iveys Bay
The absolutely beautiful and picturesque Mother Iveys Bay is situated on the north coast of Cornwall, to the east of Trevose Head and to the west of the larger and more popular beach of Harlyn Bay. Mother Iveys Bay is roughly a 20 minute walk along the coastal path from Harlyn Bay and is a small secluded beach set back in a cove surrounded by turquoise waters. The bay takes its name from the legend of Mother Ivy who was a local wisewoman. To the west of the beach near Trevose Head is the Padstow lifeboat station.

Hemmick Beach
Lying to the west of Dodman Point on the south coast of Cornwall, Hemmick Beach is one of Cornwall's lesser known beaches and somewhat quieter than others due to its location and lack of parking.

Boscastle
Boscastle is a village and working fishing port on the north coast of Cornwall. The name of the village derives from Bottreaux Castle, a 12th century motte-and-bailey fortress of which little remains. Boscastle harbour is a natural inlet protected by two harbour walls built in 1584. Boscastle made the headlines world wide on 16th August 2004 when a flash flood hit, turning roads into rivers and causing extensive damage to the village.

Porthluney Cove
A sheltered beach which is part of Caerhays Castle and gardens, the beach itself consists of fine golden sand and is a very peaceful beach due to the ban on any kind of motorized watercraft.

Located via the coastal path from Gorran Haven, Vault Beach also known as Bow Beach is a sheltered curved sweep of sand and shingle that gently slopes into the sea.

Portloe
A typical example of an unspoilt Cornish fishing village. Portloe is situated on the south coast of Cornwall on the Roseland peninsula, it's name comes from the Cornish Porth Logh meaning 'Cove Pool'.

Porthcurnick Beach
Porthcurnick Beach lies roughly a mile north of the small village of Portscatho on the south coast of Cornwall. The beach is privately owned but access is allowed and is one of Cornwall's lesser known beaches so is often quieter than the more popular beaches.

Gorran Haven
Located on the south coast of Cornwall a couple of miles from Mevagissey, Gorran Haven is a small picturesque fishing village with a fine golden sandy beach.

Cadgwith
Cadgwith also known as Cadgwith Cove, is an absolutely delightful and typically Cornish place. A tiny fishing village which has remained completely unspoilt despite the growth in tourism around Cornwall. Cadgwith is situated on The Lizard peninsula on the south coast of Cornwall, still used as a fishing port today although mainly for crabs and lobsters rather than pilchard fishing which was once the main industry for the village.

Kynance Cove
Situated on The Lizard peninsula, Kynance Cove is one of the finest examples of the picturesque county of Cornwall, with its turquoise waters, fine sands and spectacular views. The beach's defining features are the serpentine rock formations with a distinctive pinnacle to the north of the beach.

Mullion Cove
Mullion Cove is a small working fishing village that lies on The Lizard peninsula on the south coast of Cornwall. The village was formerly known as Porth Mellin or Mill Cove. There are good cliff top walks northwest to Polurrian, Poldhu and Church Coves and south over Predannack to Kynance Cove.

Stepper Point
Stepper Point and Pentire Point stand at either side of the mouth of the River Camel. The headland above Stepper Point is topped by a stone tower known as a 'day mark' to serve as a navigation beacon for seafarers during daylight. The headland rises to roughly 242 feet (74 metres) above the sea at its highest point.

Holywell Bay
Holywell Bay is situated between Perranporth and Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall. A large sandy beach which is backed up by some impressive sand dunes and stunning views via the coastal path. The two rocks in the distance are known as 'Gull Rocks' and give Holywell Bay its distinctive appearance.

Porthcurno
Porthcurno Beach is situated on the Penwith peninsula in Cornwall, not far from Land's End. A beautiful south-east facing beach in the western corner of Porthcurno Bay. Bordered by the Minack Theatre to the west and Green Bay, Pednvounder Beach and the famous Logan Rock to the east.

Located on the north coast of Cornwall, Crackington Haven is a small village with a beach that is sheltered by the imposing 400 feet high cliffs.

Bedruthan Steps
Bedruthan Steps beach is situated on the north coast of Cornwall between Newquay and Padstow. One of Cornwall's more dramatic beaches, it gets its name from the huge slate outcrops scattered along the beach. It is said that the outcrops were put there by Bedruthan, a Giant who used them as stepping stones.

Sennen Cove boasts one of the most spectacular stretches of sand in Cornwall and the village itself still retains much of the atmosphere of an old fishing village. Sennen Cove lies at the western end of Cornwall situated on the Penwith peninsula roughly a mile from Land's End.

Port Quin
The delightful and picturesque Port Quin is a hamlet and small cove situated on the north coast of Cornwall between Polzeath and Port Isaac. Port Quin itself is just a handful of former fishermen's cottages situated at the end of a narrow rocky inlet in Port Quin Bay which extends from Kellan Head on the north-east side of the inlet up to The Rumps. Port Quin was once a thriving fishing village, however during a storm in 1698 the entire fishing fleet was destroyed and none of the fishermen returned to Port Quin alive, their families then left and moved to Port Isaac leaving Port Quin deserted. The cottages in Port Quin are now primarily owned by the National Trust and rented out as holiday homes.

Porthtowan Beach
Porthtowan is a small village in the Carrick district of Cornwall and is a popular summer tourist destination which lies on Cornwall's Atlantic Ocean facing north coast near St.Agnes. Porthtowan Beach is one of the UK's top surfing beaches consisting of wide soft white sands. Its name comes from the Cornish words 'Porth' and 'Tewynn' to mean Cove of Sand Dunes.

Charlestown is approximately two miles from the town of St.Austell in Cornwall and whereas other villages in the area have seen much development, Charlestown has remained relatively unchanged over the years.

Porthgwidden Beach
The sheltered sandy cove of Porthgwidden is the smallest of the three main beaches at St.Ives on the north coast of Cornwall. The beach is a few minutes walk from the town centre and lies between the much larger and more popular beaches of Porthminster and Porthmeor.
